I am Barbie Abeles, Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher.
I’ve practiced Yoga for 20 years.
Almost 10 years ago I started traveling to India every year. I spent many months studying with the Iyengar Family in Pune, India.
In 2019 the Iyengar family took me under their tutelage and I moved to Pune for a year, to study directly under them and the rest of the RIMYI Institute teachers.

ABOUT IYENGAR YOGA
B.K.S. Iyengar (1918-2014) developed the most innovative and inspiring approach to Classical Hatha Yoga.
Iyengar Yoga focuses on precision and alignment in postures. HOW we do the poses is just as important as WHAT poses we choose to do.

POSTURES
Various sequences of asanas or postures are conducted in a precise and careful manner
ALIGNMENT
The focus is on the correct alignment within each pose.
PROPS
When it is not possible, we use props to assist us to obtain the maximum benefits from the asanas.
